About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter for a leading manufacturer of automotive and aerospace parts/components in northeast Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting and a strong understanding of various painting techniques and equipment. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of industrial products while maintaining production schedules and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial painting or related fields such as construction painting or auto body repair.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required by the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
• Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying and traditional brush techniques.

• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to achieve accurate results in painting applications.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with hazardous materials.
• Assist in the assembly of painted components as needed.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
