Role snapshot Location: Lexington, North Carolina Business: Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 4:00pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent education/experience mix in manufacturing or materials painting.
• 1+ year of paint application experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• English proficiency sufficient for effective teamwork and vendor communication.
• Comfort reading basic instructions, memos, and technical documents.
• Math capabilities including operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, plus rates, ratios, percentages, and bar-graph interpretation.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Prep, prime, and apply topcoats to rail vehicle car bodies.
• Hand, block, and mechanical sanding to achieve paint-ready surfaces.
• Masking and surface cleaning to ensure proper adhesion.
• Application of primers and undercoats per specifications.
• General maintenance and care of painting equipment.
• Team support, assisting other painters as project needs arise.
