About The Position

Hunton Trane, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX, is seeking to hire an Industrial Mechanical Engineer . This role would be responsible for engineering the process heating, cooling, & utility systems within a prospective project. The Industrial Mechanical Engineer provides ongoing technical consultation to facilitate the sales/business development processes and working with the project management team to execute projects for the customer. This individual would also have the responsibility of developing comprehensive, value-driven mechanical processes and HVAC system solutions at industrial facilities. Ideal candidate should have a strong process or HVAC background with an emphasis on hydronic and refrigeration processes. Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of construction or engineering related work experience.
• Mastery of refrigeration and hydronic fundamentals including system design.
• Mastery of AutoCAD or Revit
• Experience with ASME & API standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task, work well with others, and have a positive attitude.
• Clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Experience with chilled water plant design consisting of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, valving, expansion and buffer tanks, and all associated piping instrumentation.
• Oversee the design and development of comprehensive engineering documentation for EPC and industrial projects.
• This role involves a combination of hands-on engineering and managing third-party engineering services to deliver a complete engineering package, including but is not limited to: General Arrangement (GA) drawings P&ID drawings Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) calculations Nozzle load analysis (forces and moments) Anchorage details FAT procedures
• Act as main point for technical questions for vendors, project management, and field personnel.
• Support project managers and field teams with technical expertise.
• Develop innovative solutions that bring additional value to the customer.
• Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends.
• Identify and utilize software modeling tools.
• Utilize cloud tools such as Microsoft Teams & SharePoint for collaboration.
