About The Position

Ready to build, repair, and maintain the machinery that powers heavy manufacturing? American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Mechanic to join our Manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role, you’ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment used in large-scale manufacturing projects. This is a great opportunity for early-career mechanics or experienced tradespeople looking to grow their skills in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Entry level to 4 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience using general hand tools and shop equipment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
  • Safety-focused and dependable

  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery, heavy materials, noise, vibration, and industrial conditions
  • Willingness to follow all safety policies and wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, etc)
  • Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, work instructions, and procedures
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Ability to operate or be trained to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently
  • Use precision measuring tools and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Conduct testing to verify proper equipment operation after repairs
  • Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personnel to improve machine performance
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety regulations and document maintenance and repair work
