About The Position

Maintenance Mechanic III independently perform facilities maintenance as well as, intermediate repairs and preventive care on Industrial electrical, hydraulic, & mechanical systems. They will also troubleshoot, operate, and repair PLC Systems.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
4 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.
Meet all requirements for the Maintenance Mechanic I and II positions.
Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
2+ years' experience with basic PLC knowledge
Certified in Etchline.
Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisor, Safety, and QC personnel.
Ability to use and operate equipment and machinery.
Ability to follow specific instructions and directions.
Intermediate math skills and measuring abilities.
Intermediate Computer Skills to include specifications, and / or blueprint interpretation
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Machine shop background.
Knowledge of metal work and fabrication and abrasives.
Strong mechanical knowledge
Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired.
Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
6 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical industrial equipment desired.
Prior forging equipment repair experience highly desired.
Electrical 480-V 3 phase experience preferred.
Experience working on CNC machines and presses is a plus.
Must be able to conceptualize, fabricate, and develop necessary equipment, and intricate systems.
Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills/Mathematics.
experience in PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL REPAIR & TROUBLESHOOTING.

Responsibilities

Without assistance, perform intermediate preventative maintenance on industrial electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic machines/equipment
Must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and repair PLC based systems.
Move heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists or rollers
Participates within in Total Quality Management projects to achieve improvements
Troubleshoot basic electrical problems (480V 3 phase) on a variety of machinery
Performs related paperwork
Effectively interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for products.
Maintains clean work area
Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
Communication with plant and company management regarding scheduling and repair status.
Inspects and checks work prior to turning machinery back to users, assuring that all safety factors have been attended to in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Participates in maintenance projects to achieve improvements.
Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
May work different shift or overtime
Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
