Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics - Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for an Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer. This role will play a critical role in optimizing our production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and analyze process data. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Evaluate and analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Enhance operator efficiency through training programs, ergonomic improvements, and standardized work practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop data-driven solutions to enhance production performance and quality.
  • Utilize statistical tools and techniques to conduct root cause analysis and solve complex manufacturing problems.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Analyze and optimize the use of resources, including manpower, materials, machinery, and methods.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies to minimize waste and improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce operational costs.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial impact of process improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in process improvement, cost reduction, and data analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SQL) and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software (MES).
  • Project management experience is a plus.
