About The Position
Essity is currently seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians for our Middletown, Ohio, paper manufacturing site. The ideal candidates will possess journeyman level experience and be multi-skilled, capable of performing heavy industrial maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on process equipment to enhance area process reliability. You will also have the opportunity to learn new technologies, processes, and equipment, and educate other maintenance technicians and operators. Assisting operations in troubleshooting equipment and processes will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will need to maintain necessary documentation, including drawings, diagrams, and bills of materials, and effectively communicate repairs to others. Your role will also involve performing corrective maintenance on process equipment by applying precision maintenance best practices to optimize equipment life. You should be competent in basic maintenance skills, particularly mechanical, and able to perform maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to conduct maintenance activities in accordance with all relevant safe work practices as specified by regulatory guidelines (such as OSHA) and mill safety policies. Additionally, you will participate in improvement projects aimed at reducing maintenance costs and minimizing process equipment failures. Collaboration with Maintenance and Operations Leadership, Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, Technical representatives, and Contractors will be essential as you work on projects and ongoing tasks. Training and developing technical capabilities within the practical working hours of current and future apprentices will also be part of your responsibilities.
