About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the milling equipment; this includes completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting the operators with breakdowns and new installations as necessary. Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD) Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain conduit wire, motors and electrical equipment on 240-volt, 3 phase and 440-volt systems Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior Maintenance work experience required
  • Ability to work 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as necessary
  • Nights: 5:00pm-3:30am
  • Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
  • Must be able to read electric schematics and have knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Associate's or technical degree, preferred
