The Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT) is a proactive team member responsible for performing plant maintenance under the direction of the Industrial Maintenance Manager/Plant Manager or their designee. This role ensures that employee health and safety, product safety, and environmental protection are never compromised, while enhancing product quality, plant performance, and business priorities. The IMT adheres to all health and safety policies and directives and maintains a clean, safe work area. Key duties include diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures in various plant manufacturing equipment such as conveyers, process pallet handling machines, dismantling, painting, and stenciling systems. The IMT will also assist with, and at times be responsible for, hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric systems, as well as process hand tools like pneumatic or electric reciprocating saws and nail guns. Accurate and timely documentation of performance and processes, including scheduling, executing, and documenting work orders within the corporate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), is essential. The IMT participates in health and safety programs, including council or committee meetings, OSHA and corporate mandated training, certification, and recertification, and completes all assigned training programs.
