The industrial maintenance technician maintains and installs equipment, troubleshoots machines, and makes repairs to the facility. Also responsible for other duties as assigned and determined by business needs. Other duties may include snow removal, grounds maintenance, and general building maintenance. Depending on the level, there are increased factors of knowledge, experience, communication, and reasoning ability as well as increased responsibility concerning equipment, safety, and the work of others. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The individual focuses on the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of crystal growth furnaces, production machinery and related support equipment in order to keep the plant functioning in a safe and efficient manner. This individual also works independently performing a wide variety of complex tasks under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor such as the installation of automated equipment, and implementation of process/product improvement projects.
