About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations. This role supports industrial manufacturing equipment and requires hands-on technical skill in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This position begins with structured training at our Beaver Dam and Horicon facilities before transitioning to Watertown as the primary work location. TRAINING & ASSIGNMENT STRUCTURE: Initial training focuses on learning company-specific systems, equipment, and processes. After training, the technician transitions to Watertown as their primary base. Occasional travel back to Beaver Dam/Horicon may be required for support or project work.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, equipment manuals, schematics, and operating procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to maintenance issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to relay maintenance needs, hazards, and repair status.
  • Computer literacy for work orders, PM documentation, and reporting.
  • Excellent manual dexterity using hand and power tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Willingness to cross-train and support multiple areas as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or exposure to industrial manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, or wastewater systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate PM schedules and documentation.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Operate and maintain industrial equipment including coating lines, ovens, conveyors, and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Install new equipment or coordinate with third-party vendors as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, welders, grinders, and related equipment (training provided).
  • Perform equipment inspections and startup checks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls as required.
  • Follow all lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and PPE requirements.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain facility safety and accessibility (e.g., seasonal grounds support as needed)
