As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, equipment, and grounds within Ollie fulfillment centers. Your role is crucial in minimizing downtime, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting our production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and automation systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as required
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and to work in various environmental conditions
  • Previous forklift training required
  • Ability to Commute: Geneva, IL 60134 (Required)
  • Ability to Relocate: Geneva, IL 60134: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems according to established schedules and protocols.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to address and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines including lock out tag out and arc flash protection to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct custodial work and 5S related activities.
  • Technicians may be assigned to production tasks during down time.
