About The Position

We are looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to join our New Hope, MN Location. The right maintenance tech will have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance on manufacturing machines (CNC machines, turret punch, brake press, welding equipment, electrical, and facilities). If you have a proven background in successful PM within a sheet metal or stamping manufacturing environment, this might be a great role for you!

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience with Pneumatics, PLC, Electronics
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and easily adapt to change
  • Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs
  • 10+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to network and/or research issues to quickly diagnose repair issues

Responsibilities

  • Performs all PM’s based on a scheduled event for all Lake Air plants, and tracks results.
  • Maintain facilities and grounds as well as manage associated contract services and repairs.
  • Provide technical support by training and troubleshooting to all manufacturing employees.
  • Interpret operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and schematics for manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
  • Works together with the Production departments for Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Remains current on all OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates as required
  • Trains on proper equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Make recommendations on the use of machinery and equipment.
  • Works with outside vendors in painting and performing structural repairs to buildings, equipment, masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
