About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cooperage equipment; this includes completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting the operators with breakdowns and new installations as necessary. Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

• 5+ years of prior Maintenance work experience required
• Ability to work 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as necessary 4:30pm-3:00am
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
• Must be able to read electric schematics and have knowledge of the National Electric Code
• Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• Associate's or technical degree, preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain conduit wire, motors and electrical equipment on 240-volt, 3 phase and 440-volt systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
• Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
