The Industrial Maintenance Technician focuses on skilled fabrication, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery and equipment. This role involves fabricating and repairing components to ensure systems run smoothly. The technician ensures tasks are performed accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards, while minimizing downtime and enhancing production.

Requirements

  • Proficient in advanced shop mathematics, interpreting complex drawings and formulas, and utilizing a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Mechanic
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and creativity in planning, laying out, and executing complex tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive expertise in welding and fabrication techniques is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and operating difficulties to determine the need for repairs and adjustments.
  • Work with manufacturers’ representatives and technicians to effect repairs beyond the plant's capability.
  • Train lower-skilled maintenance repairers.
  • Complete minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing fuses, motors, and switches.
  • Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, rigging, motor, drive, and belt alignment.
  • Maintain written records or make entries to maintenance information systems, as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, and parts diagrams.
  • Apply understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, motor generator principles, motor control theory, motor drive, and coupling alignment.
  • Connect with supervisor, operations management, plant engineering, etc., regarding major repairs and repetitive problems.
  • Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
  • Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
