About The Position

Diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machines and manufacturing equipment Machine installations and setup Perform adjustments and repairs of drives, hydraulic systems, electronic controls, electrical peripherals, and other items Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Calibrate, adjust, and replace components to ensure precise machine performance Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings with customers and internal teams Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe Take appropriate action to ensure safety of oneself and others Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance without disrupting workflow Complete all other work assigned, including cross-training and intermittent work in other departments Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position that requires a flexible work schedule as needed ( i.e., work overtime, weekends, holidays, change shifts, and/or return to the plant during off hours – often with little notice).

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of CNC systems, including controls and servo systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, including components, schematics, and basic measurements
  • Understanding of basic industrial control systems and automation concepts
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, sensors, actuators, and control systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, precision instruments, and basic machine shop equipment
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and PLC fundamentals (PLC experience a plus)
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques (experience with industrial or mobile hydraulics is a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Know and comply with OSHA and EPA requirements regarding safe and proper methods of maintenance repair (lockout/tag-out procedures, proper disposal of waste, etc.)
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, working with automated manufacturing equipment
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with metal manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC programming a plus
