About The Position

As a leader in blow molding and injection molding, Flexcraft is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. If you're hands-on, adaptable, and ready to tackle technical challenges in a fast-paced environment—we want to hear from you. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Plant Engineer and is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment and systems in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, cGMP, and Flexcraft's operational standards. This position plays a key role in supporting production efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability across the facility.

Requirements

  • Completion of a technical training program or 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a plastics or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with equipment manuals, technical schematics, and PLC troubleshooting (programming a plus).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP, Lean manufacturing, and 5S standards.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CMMS (e.g., IQMS).
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Flexible and willing to take on new challenges
  • Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs
  • Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders or steps
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in tight spaces

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on blow molding, injection molding, and auxiliary equipment (e.g., extruders, conveyors, chillers, compressors).
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems—including up to 480V, three-phase power.
  • Maintain and monitor critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC, DI water, compressed air, vacuum, lighting, and computerized building systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Document all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts to drive reliability and performance.
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations, Flexcraft policies, and clean work area standards.
  • Assist with equipment installation and relocation as needed.
  • Fabricate parts using hand tools and basic machine shop equipment; welding skills a plus.
