Requirements

  • Proven experience in production maintenance with strong mechanical skills and sufficient electrical troubleshooting capability.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems (480VAC), pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic/PLC systems.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs including troubleshooting, code edits, and sensor maintenance.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP CMMS.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding skills (Mig, Tig, Arc) for fabrication and repair purposes.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and experience participating in Kaizen events.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude with excellent time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and repair production and ancillary equipment independently, including electrical (480VAC), pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic (up to 60,000 psi), and electronic/PLC systems.
  • Daily Operations: Perform preventive maintenance and daily repairs on various production and auxiliary equipment, including conveyors, lighting, motors, pumps, and VFDs.
  • Troubleshooting & Programming: Troubleshoot and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs, including code edits, resets, and sensor adjustments (photo eye sensors).
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in Lean improvements and Kaizen activities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and machine vendors to ensure timely repairs, parts ordering, and equipment modifications.
  • Documentation: Accurately document maintenance activities and equipment history using SAP CMMS software, assisting with system modifications as needed.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various positions including standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, and lying down.
  • Union Environment: Operate effectively within a unionized site, maintaining a cooperative and team-oriented attitude.
