About The Position

This position is in Youngstown, Ohio. Qualified candidates would relocate to the area. A $7,500 sign on/relocation bonus will be provided to new hires relocating from out of state. We are looking for experienced industrial maintenance technicians--great pay, overtime opportunities, and the ability to work for one of the area's most recognized and long-standing employers! Our hourly rate is $26.50 to $32.00 / hour based on experience. Along with the pay and overtime, we offer full benefits including company contributions to retirement, and many other benefits! Job Duties: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Makes repairs as needed. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 110 VAC, 240/480 VAC 3 phase. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements

  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends.
  • Must have basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork, and read technical manuals, instructions, safety and warning signs, etc.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Should be skilled at operating welding/ brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines and other shop equipment.
  • Must have ability to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladder/ scaffolds, often required to work in tight, cramped spaces.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes, as well as dexterity in ceiling height areas.
  • Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect equipment malfunctions and warning devices/ signs.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
  • Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen (including marijuana).
  • To receive the signing / relocation amount there will be a requirement to stay with the company for 18 months or repay the amount paid.
  • Properly wears personal protective equipment as supplied and directed by the company; wears uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP/ company standards.
  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, bend and walk through shift.
  • Must have the ability to lift, maneuver or carry at least 50 pounds.
  • Someone who demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.
  • Someone who is able to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
