About The Position

The position involves maintaining and repairing equipment to minimize breakdowns, performing tasks without detailed supervision. Responsibilities include dismantling, repairing, and assembling new equipment, as well as conducting ongoing inspections and preventive maintenance. The role requires the use of various tools and equipment, including burning and welding torches, hand tools, and cranes. The applicant will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing pumps and compressors, working from installation drawings and blueprints, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a current OH driver's license.
• Capable of climbing steps and ladders to work at high elevations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a majority of overtime, including emergency situations.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, good housekeeping, and clean-up procedures.
• Familiar with JDE, able to issue work orders and order parts as needed.
• Must pass a comprehensive mechanical and welding test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to minimize breakdowns without detailed supervision.
• Dismantle, repair, and assemble new pieces of equipment.
• Use various tools and equipment including burning torch, welding torch, and hand tools.
• Perform installation of equipment to close specifications using alignment instruments.
• Conduct ongoing inspections of equipment for condition and wear, recording findings for preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and repair pumps and compressors.
• Work from installation and assembly drawings and blueprints, capable of drawing legible sketches.
• Operate cranes to safely lift men and materials.
