About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the milling equipment; this includes completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting the operators with breakdowns and new installations as necessary. The role involves performing regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD). The technician will also troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, conduct machine safety inspections, and collaborate with team members to develop preventive maintenance programs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of prior Maintenance work experience required.
• Ability to work 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as necessary.
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues.
• Must be able to read electric schematics and have knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Associate's or technical degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain conduit wire, motors and electrical equipment on 240-volt, 3 phase and 440-volt systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery.
• Identify and resolve PLC-related problems.
• Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
