About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Development Program is a full-time opportunity for an entry level maintenance position made available to trade or technical program graduates who major in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical, and other Industrial Maintenance programs. The program is designed to build a strong “bench” of multi-craft talent across our organization. Over 18 to 24 months, participants will complete a series of 6- to 8-month rotations within several ELLWOOD Business Units across their region. This hands-on experience exposes team members to a wide range of equipment and processes used throughout ELLWOOD, helping them develop a deep, versatile skill set. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped to confidently troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain complex production equipment—positioning themselves as highly skilled, in-demand contributors to our operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proof of graduation from an accredited Trade or Technical program in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical, or a related Industrial Maintenance field.
  • Individuals must meet the physical requirements of the role; reasonable accommodations may be provided.
  • Individuals must lift up to 50 pounds, use various power and welding tools, and perform tasks requiring close vision, hearing, and frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and kneeling.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance tasks, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Inspect equipment, motors, and vehicles for defects, misalignment, wear, excessive vibration, etc.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and electrical problems to determine and correct root cause of problem or failure
  • Assist in failure analysis of recurring problems and understand shutdown procedures for emergency repairs or major rebuilds
  • Build and install safety equipment such as guards and railings
  • Analyze drawings, wiring diagrams, electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting, repair, calibration, modification, and installation of new equipment
