About The Position
We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ameritex Pipe & Products. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial production and processing machinery. The position requires a strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics, as well as proficiency in MIG/TIG welding. You will work in a concrete manufacturing environment that may present various conditions including heat, cold, wetness, and dust, making it physically demanding. The ability to hear and see warning signals and other hazards is essential for safety in this role. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, with select Saturdays, from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will be expected to perform routine preventative maintenance, respond to work order requests promptly, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. The role also involves troubleshooting and maintaining engines, conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment. You will ensure the correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics, sourcing replacement parts, and performing necessary repairs. As part of your responsibilities, you will work closely with the facility manager to continually update the production process and system software. Daily shift meetings will be held to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. You will also be required to safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools, assess the condition of used parts using micrometers and calipers, maintain parts and tools inventory, and prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis, and trends.
