About The Position

Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems and facility for a 24hr / 7 day manufacturing operation. Electro-Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 - Night Shift Shift Hours: 7:30PM - 6:00AM - Weekends are required for shutdown maintenance. Some overtime and holiday work may be required, as dictated by business needs. Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 DOE with Shift Differential of $1.25 Candidates must have experience performing electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of high-speed automated industrial machinery. Primary functions: provide production support, troubleshoot technical problems, perform corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize throughput and efficiency. Additionally, performs the duties of Maintenance Technician 2 as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
  • 3-5 years related electro-mechanical experience
  • Extensive hands on experience and detailed knowledge of: Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems Computers hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O's
  • Able to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
  • Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
  • Strong Computer literacy: Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet software. Ideal candidates will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software, and Order Processing systems.
  • Must demonstrate good time management skills.
  • Plans and organizes daily work flow.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures.
  • Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to organize work, people and materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate area, circumference, volume, etc.
  • Service-oriented personality.
  • Ability to work independently on nights and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating work schedule with call-in and overtime duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree, technical certification, or equivalent preferred
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor.
  • Train production technicians in the proper set-up and copy troubleshooting techniques.
  • Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.
  • Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in assigned area (facility, machinery, equipment, etc.)
  • Make timely and accurate repairs, as necessary, during production
  • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
  • Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate.
  • Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.
  • Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
  • Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory.
  • Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork
  • Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspects their work.
  • Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping up after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned
