As an Electronics Maintenance Team Member, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational reliability and preventing downtime. By performing proactive inspections, testing, and issue resolution, you’ll keep systems running smoothly while working with voltages ranging from 5V DC to 600V AC. Your responsibilities will include control and automation installations, project work, and multi-craft tasks beyond electrical maintenance. Your day-to-day will involve troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting automation systems—all vital steps in keeping production efficient and safe. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years combined technical college and/or experience in an industrial electrical role.
  • Brings over five years of industrial PLC and electrical experience
  • Skilled in electrical/electronic components, PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley), control systems, and variable speed drives with a strong foundation in electrical theory and diagnostic tools.
  • Adheres to safety protocols (GMPs, PPE, LOTO), understands equipment hazards, and completes required safety training, including forklift operation and confined space certification.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Builds a positive team spirit.
  • Provide training, guidance, and feedback to team members (progressively more responsibility at higher levels).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated accountability for work quality, attendance, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and handle equipment safely and sensibly.
  • Able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays/Sundays as determined by business needs.
  • Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Tasks may involve frequent climbing, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must have normal hearing and vision (with correction if needed), including the ability to distinguish colors for color-coded containers in production areas.
  • Employees must wear all required PPE according to the specific manufacturing environment, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as directed by leadership.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out, safe lifting techniques, and others as instructed.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any food safety or quality issues immediately to management.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Rockwell Automation classes are a plus.
  • an associate degree in Electronics or Electromechanical Technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades motors, drives, PLCs, and machine controls while adhering to NEC, OSHA, and food safety standards.
  • Provides electrical safety training and ensures compliance with arc flash and LOTO procedures.
  • Coordinates thermal scans.
  • Maintains documentation for electrical systems, including single-line diagrams and calibration procedures.
  • Follows SQF and GMP standards.
  • Collaborates with QA on equipment calibration.
  • Ensures alignment with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations while supporting autonomous maintenance activities.
  • Delivers training on relay logic, AC/DC motor troubleshooting, VFDs, and PLC programming.
  • Assists maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Works with internal and external teams on plant projects.
  • Conducts resistance testing of motors and circuits.
  • Tests electrical equipment up to 600 volts.
  • Manages plant IT hardware.
  • Supports corporate IT with infrastructure, including SAP terminals, IP phones, Ethernet, and fire systems.
