About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, and tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts. The role involves diagnosing and repairing complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment, performing detailed setups on equipment, and maintaining mechanical machine components in top operating condition. The technician will also perform preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot electrical control circuits, and maintain pneumatic systems.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field is desired.
  • Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
  • Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians.
  • Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
  • Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines.
  • Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program.
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms.
  • Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA.
  • Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills.
