Opportunity Hightlights Location: East Chicago, IN Schedule/Shift: 2nd Shift | Mon-Fri Paid Weekly Play a key role in preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and outage planning What will you do? Make an impact! As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and support daily maintenance operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant equipment performance. This is a working supervisor role that combines leadership with hands-on technical expertise. You’ll partner closely with maintenance teams, operations, and fellow supervisors to support continuous plant operations and minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of industrial mechanic and/or millwright experience
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with manual alignment methods
  • Experience rebuilding pumps and blowers
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read equipment prints and OEM manuals
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply SOPs and training documentation
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must provide a basic set of tools
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to obtain physician certification to wear a respirator
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
  • Completion of OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space training (as required)
  • Completion of HAZWOPER training (provided during first week of employment)

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all safety and environmental policies across maintenance activities
  • Lead, assign, and coordinate daily maintenance work to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Partner with maintenance personnel on repairs, preventative maintenance, and assigned projects
  • Support the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs
  • Coordinate and contribute to scheduled and unscheduled equipment outages
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant maintenance work areas
  • Support parts inventory control and continuous improvement of inventory systems
  • Oversee maintenance of mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts, track hoes, backhoes)
  • Perform hands-on industrial equipment repairs, including pipe fitting and welding (if qualified)
  • Conduct and support plant inspections focused on preventative maintenance
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of plant systems and machinery
  • Complete accurate shift reports detailing work performed, equipment status, and handoffs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
