About The Position

At 7:00 a.m., you step onto the production floor of one of dsm-firmenich’s largest global premix plants, supporting our Human Nutrition and Health business. By 8:15, you’ve issued a safe work permit and coordinated lockout/tagout. Mid-morning brings a motor swap and a root-cause analysis on a pneumatic line. After lunch, you log PMs in Fiix, calibrate an air compressor, and assist a teammate with a hydraulic adjustment. You finish your shift ensuring documentation is complete, the area is spotless, and everyone goes home safe.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications (e.g., licensed craft) is a plus. OR completion of a two-year trade school or apprenticeship with ~5 years of experience.
  • 3+ years as a senior-level maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting (food or dietary supplements preferred).
  • Hands-on CMMS experience (Fiix preferred) and capable with PC-based control systems.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license; comfortable operating PIT and site vehicles (e.g., dump truck, forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, order picker).
  • Flexible for on-call rotation; able to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Strong problem-solving, detail orientation, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Facility and building upkeep: HVAC units, air compressors, exterior maintenance, and related systems.
  • Motor diagnostics, repair, and replacement.
  • Maintenance and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment used in premix manufacturing.
  • Plumbing tasks and minor electrical work.
  • Preventive maintenance execution with rigorous documentation in CMMS (Fiix).
  • Assist cross-functional teams with equipment repairs and adjustments.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis; analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues across lines.
  • Champion safety: model positive safety behaviors, apply PPE, tools, and procedures; maintain neat, clean, and compliant work areas.
  • Participate in SHE/GMP training meetings and complete SHE-critical PMs.
