Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience. This position is a 6:00pm to 6:00am rotating schedule. Role Overview: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have applied mechanical ability documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
  • The Team Member will walk or stand on hard floors for 8-12 hour days.
  • The Team Member will regularly be required to stand, stoop, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, and move about the facility
  • The Team Member will work in a cold, damp to hot environment.
  • Meet all specific job requirements.
  • Have a good work record (Disciplines: no written in the last 6 months, no written w/suspension in the last 12 months).
  • Have good attendance (4 points or below).
  • Must have completed the 90-day probationary period.
  • Applicants will be considered for maintenance level openings, and an offer will be determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties such as welding, cutting, electrical repair and troubleshooting, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, and systems.
  • Read & understand assignments.
  • Communicate orally & in writing.
  • Use basic knowledge of math, use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
  • Be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems.
  • Complete all required training for the job.
