Formally known as Williams Sausage Company Newly named Greenfield Dr Plant Plant address: 4009 Greenfield Drive, Union City, TN POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Full-Time Pay Range: $22.35/HR - $31.95/HR (pay depends on experience) and a shift differential of $2.00/HR for 3rd shift. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic person is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility and machinery.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least one (1) year of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of a Maintenance Technical School/Program. (education must be documented on the application to be considered)
  • Advanced skills preferred in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, welding, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, or PLC programming.
  • Must be able and willing to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Forklift certification upon hire.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
  • Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel-toed work boots, ear plugs, hair net, hard hat, beard net (if applicable), chain glove, chain sleeve, belly guard, cutting glover (knife hand), wrist guard and smock.
  • Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
  • Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to steel-toed work boots, hardhats, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), respirator (if required), and flame-retardant clothing (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Install facility machinery.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
  • Program PLC's.
  • Perform maintenance on facility.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts.
  • Maintain and secure work tools.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new team members.
  • Maintain and promote team member interest in safety.
  • Help supervisors and leads with safety awareness, including informing supervisors of unsafe practices observed.
