About The Position

At Meyers, we design and manufacture sustainable packaging, product labels, and retail displays that help people, products, and the planet thrive. We’re growing—and we’re looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who’s eager to innovate, learn, and advance with us. A day in the life You’ll be the go-to expert keeping our presses and related systems running at peak performance so production schedules stay on track and downtime stays low. You’ll partner closely with production teams, communicate across shifts, and follow established corporate procedures and all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. Diagnose, repair, and maintain printing presses and auxiliary equipment to minimize unplanned outages. Assist with installing new machinery and bringing equipment online safely and efficiently. Coordinate and help prioritize daily emergency repairs, responding quickly to restore operations. Ensure smooth shift-to-shift handoffs using voicemail, email, and in-person communication. Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Vo-Tech training: 2 years required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a printing facility.
  • At least 2 years working in building maintenance, machinery repair, electrical wiring, machine shop repairs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; strong math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Personal computer skills (Word, Excel, email).
  • Manual dexterity and excellent hand–eye coordination.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally; comfortable with repetitive reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and fingering; able to move freely on foot throughout the plant.
  • Comfort working around moving mechanical parts, pinch points, electrical currents, chemicals, high heat, and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, oils, cutting fluids, and ultraviolet light.
