GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing Facilities team! This role is for 1st shift, Monday - Friday, with the option of working 6:00am - 2:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years' experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic highly preferred
  • General maintenance skills including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry and other trades as required
  • Industrial electrical knowledge and skills. Including, but not limited to, reading electrical schematics, installing electrical services up to 480 volts, using multi-meters to troubleshoot equipment. Familiar with NFPA 70E Arc Flash regulations
  • Industrial mechanical knowledge and skills. Including, but not limited to, reading mechanical drawings, using precision measuring equipment
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office and web-based operations
  • Good communication skills, including written and electronic
  • Provide own tools (e.g. wrenches, screwdriver set, ratchet and socket set, pliers, wire stripers, wire crimpers etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive maintenance and responding to production maintenance repair demands to maintain production operating efficiencies.
  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance work
  • Working with Production to schedule maintenance or repair work, as well as communicating equipment status
  • Performing facility/office maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and repair equipment using test equipment, general theory of equipment operation, schematics, drawings, manufacturer manuals and research
  • Contribute to departmental Continuous Improvement goals using LEAN Manufacturing methods
  • Maintains safe and clean working environments by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
