About The Position

This is a contract position for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic located in St. Peters, MO. The role involves maintaining, installing, and repairing various industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, control systems, and automation equipment. Key responsibilities include programming and servicing VFD's, PLC's, and industrial motor controls, as well as monitoring and calibrating process instrumentation. The mechanic will also perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and other manufacturing equipment, interpret technical manuals, and ensure compliance with quality and environmental regulations. The position requires managing wastewater treatment systems, air emissions controls, and scrubber maintenance, along with safe chemical handling. Continuous improvement and teamwork to minimize equipment downtime are also expected. This contract role has the potential for further job opportunities for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Must be a local candidate
  • Ability to maintain, install, and repair pumps, motors, control systems, and automation equipment
  • Ability to program and service VFD's, PLC's, and industrial motor controls
  • Ability to monitor and calibrate process instrumentation (pH, conductivity, flow, turbidity, gas detection)
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and other manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams to diagnose and perform repairs
  • Ability to support compliance with ISO, NADCAP, and environmental regulations through data logging and audits
  • Ability to manage wastewater treatment systems, air emissions controls, and scrubber maintenance
  • Ability to perform safe chemical handling, following SDS procedures and OSHA standards
  • Ability to conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example)
  • Ability to continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and organization(6s)
  • Ability to perform facilities maintenance - water pumps and plumbing work
  • Ability to work well within a team to achieve minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment

  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry (Can be completed during employee onboarding)
  • Boiler Operator Certificate
  • Stationary Engineer's License
