Pay levels are decided during the interview based on your skills, knowledge, and experience. We offer a shift increase for second shift and third shift with a chance for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have an open position for 3rd shift. This full-time, third-shift Maintenance Generalist position is for Tyson Foods' Vernon, Texas, location. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment in a food-processing environment.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred.
• Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field in the previous 18 months.
• Must be able and willing to complete work without direct supervision and be able to manage time.
• Must be able and willing to serve as a member of the Emergency Response and Intermediate Fire Fighting Teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets.
• Performing preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Working with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks, and various chemicals and lubricants.
• Welding, soldering, and assembling equipment.
• Completing required documentation daily.
