About The Position
Job Summary: Work under the direction of a Foreman. Individuals must possess a high level of skill in the industrial maintenance/turnaround/construction/or mechanical environment. Job Functions: Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control). Responsible for preparing Job Hazard Analyses and serving as designated safety watch to ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety standards. Rigging, signaling, and flagging for heavy-construction lifts. Responsible for removing and replacing exchangers, vessels, pumps, and related equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety standards. Perform dismantling and reinstallation of piping systems while ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. Responsible for servicing vessels, tower internals, fin fans, and coolers to ensure reliable performance and regulatory adherence. Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation in compliance with company standards. Perform demolition activities and execute oxy‑fuel cutting operations in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsible for operating forklifts, extenda booms, and bundle trucks to support construction and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Must work well with supervision. May be required to train and supervise apprentices. Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years' maintenance experience in refinery environment.
- Thorough understanding of industrial maintenance type work and expertise in basic hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
- Able to assemble and disassemble refinery equipment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
- Able to proficiently run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.)
- Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- The ability to logically diagnose and solve complex equipment issues independently is critical.
- A steady hand and good hand-eye coordination are necessary for working with small parts.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures is crucial.
- The ability to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions is important.
- Must be able to pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
- Complete the Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training.
- MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
- MUST pass background check.
- MUST have TWIC card.
- MUST have a 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
- MUST have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred.
