This job posting is for 2nd shift with a rotational work schedule of 3 - 12 hours days 1 week and 4 - 12 hours days the next week. The work hours are generally 12 hours a day and the shift starts at 6:00 p.m. The starting base rate of pay is $25.40/hour, plus a shift premium of $2.00/hour. Starting pay can be higher based on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of mechanic work experience with one or a combination of employers or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
  • At least six (6) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) years.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
  • Repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
  • Performing work involving hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.
  • Setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery and completing daily documentation as required.
  • Complying with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reporting known or suspected violations.
  • Attending monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT).
  • Using basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training.
  • Reading manuals to repair equipment safely and following all safety protocols.
  • Recording information using company-provided forms and procedures.
  • Working professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills.
  • Communicating effectively with all team members and management.
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
