About The Position
Incumbents in this classification are responsible for performing skilled-level plant maintenance activities related to monitoring the performance of mechanical systems to ensure proper operations. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the methods, tools and materials used in the area of assignment. Duties include receiving on the job training to perform routine inspections, installations, preventive maintenance, and testing and repair tasks. Works as part of a team with moderate supervision. The Industrial Mechanic 1 is the second level of a five-level wastewater plant maintenance series.
