About The Position
The Industrial Maintenance Generalist position at the Storm Lake Pork Plant in Storm Lake, Iowa, is a full-time role that requires flexibility to work across various shifts based on the facility's staffing needs. This position is integral to maintaining the operational efficiency of the plant by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets. As a member of the maintenance team, you will be expected to work in different departments within the pork processing facility. The job involves physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching. The working environment can be challenging, as it may include cold, damp, or hot and humid conditions, along with slippery walking surfaces. The facility operates six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, with all maintenance team members scheduled to work on Sundays as part of their regular hours.
