About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years industrial electrical maintenance experience in the past ten years.
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.
  • The ability to read blueprints, operate vehicles, work from heights, and work in various environmental conditions is required.
  • A working knowledge of programmable controllers, personal computers, AC and DC drive systems, control and measuring devices (i.e. limit switches, proximity switches, zygo gages, etc.), hydraulic systems and test equipment is preferred.
  • Applicants must be willing to upgrade their knowledge and skills as new technology and methods are introduced.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing electrical support and maintaining electrical components throughout the manufacturing plant.
  • Troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems.
  • Cooperating with and supporting operations.
  • Aggressively pursuing process improvements.
  • Assisting with documentation and training for all equipment.
  • Inspecting, testing, adjusting and maintaining electrical devices, apparatus and circuits.
  • Working in conjunction with other maintenance crafts.
  • Troubleshooting job at the machine by observing machine operation and interacting with operations leadership and employees.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and process flow diagrams.
  • Planning repair procedures by analyzing site conditions, blueprints, sketches, and other available information.
  • Using mobile equipment as needed (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
  • Performing mechanical work along with minor mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and crane/rigging needs.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment by inspecting for defects such as misalignments, wear, improper lubrication, etc.
  • Using maintenance systems for researching and ordering parts.
  • Providing technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.
  • Operating in a safe manner and observing safety rules and guidelines.
