About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician at TAIT Towers is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's facility buildings and equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for various electrical systems and components within the facility, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a certified technical school; successfully completed Apprenticeship Program; Journeyman status.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Versed in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, and amp-probes.
  • Forklift and Scissor lift certification required, will certify on-site.
  • Highly skilled in using various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using basic problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Epicor, Slack, and/or Box is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand system schematics, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components.
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged components.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors.
  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Respond to work order tickets promptly and close them out as completed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all electrical equipment and complete documentation.
  • Work in various disciplines including Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
  • Manage priorities as they change throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including tools and equipment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
