Assume supervisory role in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of all functions of the Maintenance department.
  • Understand all production/facility equipment functions and department routines.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate work, motivate maintenance personnel and follow-up to job completion.
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 7am - 4:30pm with overtime and 24/7 on call capabilities based on business needs. This is a fully onsite role. Must be able to commute daily into our Brownsville, TN plant.
  • Must have knowledge and experience reading hydraulics and electrical prints.
  • Hands on, organized and a safety expert.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and Trade School certification preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years’ maintenance experience and prior leadership roles in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and equipment manuals.
  • Must be able to communicate well verbally with others.
  • Basic mathematical skills and a solid understanding of equipment specifications / tolerances required.
  • Ability to sort out several problems at a time. Demonstrate critical thought in troubleshooting and planning of work activities.
  • Must be able to meet and retain requirements for a forklift license.
  • Must be able to do some climbing on machines, be able to lift 70 pounds, and stand/walk for extended amounts of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean manufacturing and CMMS experience a big plus.
  • Preventative maintenance, PLC and robotics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading maintenance employees
  • Evaluate / determine activities and materials needed for equipment repair
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all production/facility equipment and ensure adherence
  • Plan resource requirements and work activities needed to complete equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Generate maintenance work orders as needed
  • Lead efforts to ensure maintenance technicians' time is used effectively
  • Track status of all open work orders and provide updates to Maintenance Manager
  • Lead and enforce all safety and compliance standards, correct hazards, and ensure all team members follow OSHA, company policies, and required safety procedures at all times
  • Performs other work-related duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager
  • Assumes the role of Supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Manager; includes handling vacation requests, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
