About The Position

The Industrial Machine/Parts Tech Support role at Laguna Tools is focused on delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. The role involves troubleshooting and providing technical support primarily through phone and email interactions.

Requirements

  • Woodworking machinery experience is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or certification in an electrical mechanical field
  • Prior industrial machine experience preferred (wide belt sanders, dual head drum sanders and brushes, edge banders)
  • Minimum of two years troubleshooting experience in a customer service or production environment
  • Electrical and mechanical background required
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial machines using electrical schematics
  • Experience using volt-ohm meter and electrical-mechanical hand tools
  • Understanding of basic electrical components (switches, relays, fuses, power supplies, sensors, motors)
  • Understanding of basic mechanical components (gears, bearings)
  • Strong phone customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good experience in reading manuals and blueprints required
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with customers in a positive, calm manner
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and 100% follow through

  • Provide professional support via phone and email to customers
