Requirements

Proven background as a forklift or heavy equipment mechanic
Hands-on experience with propane and diesel forklifts (required)
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics
Valid driver’s license; forklift certification a plus
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse or outdoor environments
Detail-oriented with strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

Trade school or technical certification in mechanical repair
Experience across multiple forklift brands
Welding or light fabrication experience

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on propane and diesel forklifts
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system faults
Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is safe and ready for operation
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and related components
Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records
Comply with OSHA and company safety standards at all times
Respond quickly to breakdowns to reduce production downtime
Provide clear repair recommendations and status updates to management
