Why this role matters Every successful on‑premise or commercial laundry starts with a flawless installation. As an Installation Specialist, you bring Alliance Laundry Systems equipment to life on customer sites—safely, accurately, and on schedule. What you’ll tackle Install, commission, and verify performance of commercial laundry equipment in accordance with company standards and safety practices. Travel to client locations in a company vehicle to complete on‑site utility hookups and start‑ups. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues; repair, test, and confirm correct operation. Deliver clear customer guidance: share diagnostics, recommendations, and user instructions post‑install. Escalate complex situations to the Service Manager and participate in process improvement and best‑practice sharing. Maintain accurate parts inventory on your assigned vehicle and file complete expense documentation. Support additional tasks that keep the service department efficient. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). 3+ years’ experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair (preferred). Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience considered. Knowledge of single‑phase electric power equipment (required). Experience with phone/email or ticketing/dispatch-based customer support (preferred). Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred). Core capabilities Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting strength; can read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings. Organized and detail‑focused; able to prioritize and manage multiple jobs independently. Professional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal. Adaptable, resilient, and proactive; strong work ethic and initiative. Travel Out of town 2–3 nights per week; hotel and per diem provided. Physical/standard requirements Frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and manual dexterity. Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs frequently; assistive devices available for heavier items. Ability to talk, hear, and use hands to operate tools and controls throughout the workday.
