About The Position

The Quality Technician position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with others in coordination of multiple job tasks involving several work shifts
• Record of dependability and good attendance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Outlook
• Exhibit the ability to carry out assignments with little or no supervision
• Ability to make objective decisions regarding technical data and specifications
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Willing to travel off-site if needed

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with management and all associates
• Perform destructive and nondestructive tests on finished product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded as directed by the Quality and Engineering Manager
• Prepare quality sample specimens for testing
• Conduct chemical checks of support equipment as needed
• Perform dimensional testing of parts and record results
• Complete required documentation and log into computer for record retention
• Be familiar with customer requirements and specifications
• Identify and report non-conformances of visual and metallurgical standards
• Willingness to participate in educational training programs as required
• Other duties as required
