About The Position

The Industrial Janitor position is a full-time role located in an oil refinery in Romeoville, IL. The primary function is to maintain the premises, restrooms, and working areas of the offices within the petroleum refinery. The individual must follow all safety protocols to ensure all office buildings are in a clean and orderly condition. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an hourly rate of $18.50.

Requirements

• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential Functions
• Valid Drivers License
• 8-hour safety course
• Able to get a TWIC card
• Willing to complete a background check
• Willing to complete a drug test following federal guidelines (includes marijuana)
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, including chemicals, supplies and methods used in office cleaning
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions as it is a heavy safety focused site.
• Ability to perform the physical labor necessary

Responsibilities

• Responsible for floor care, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets of all office areas and non-production employee lounge.
• Dusting and disinfecting equipment, furniture, and/or fixtures, etc...
• Responsible for removing trash in office areas and non-production employee lounge.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily
• Cleaning of windows in conference rooms and management offices, etc...
• Stoking of supplies throughout the office.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
