About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, or related field, accredited by a recognized body.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, including conducting evaluations of hazardous conditions and reviewing technical documents.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).

Responsibilities

• Ensure evaluation is performed properly to protect the health of workers and meet mission requirements.
• Coordinate on-site support by arranging travel, equipment, scheduling, and funding requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports of survey findings with recommended corrective actions.
• Review draft technical documents for technical accuracy and recommend revisions as needed.
• Conduct complex and sensitive industrial hygiene and environmental health evaluations of DoD facilities and installations throughout the US and overseas.
• Anticipate, recognize, assess, and recommend methods to control occupational and environmental health hazards.
