S&ME is seeking a seasoned Industrial Hygienist to join our environmental team in Greensboro, North Carolina. Your expertise will drive the evaluation of hazardous materials, workplace exposures, and indoor environmental quality. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or other related sciences.
  • 4+ years of industrial hygiene field sampling experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with a particular talent for writing clear, professional technical documents and proposals.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours and in the field on project sites.
  • Ability to routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead industrial hygiene evaluations, including chemical exposure monitoring, noise assessments, indoor air quality studies, mold investigations, and hazardous building material surveys.
  • Oversee sampling activities to ensure proper methodology, accurate documentation, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret data, prepare detailed technical reports, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Review routine project documentation and field data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, and cost estimates for hazardous materials surveys and remediation projects.
  • Support proposal preparation and coordinate with senior leadership for review and approval.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in client meetings and industry engagements.
  • Cultivate relationships, identify new service opportunities, and contribute to expanding project portfolios.
  • Provide guidance and field support to junior staff, fostering technical development, safety awareness, and professional growth.
