About The Position

The Industrial Hygienist at NMRTC Annapolis Detachment League Island will be responsible for conducting industrial hygiene surveys in complex industrial work environments. This role involves drafting reports on investigations, briefing management on findings, and calibrating field instruments for sampling in hazardous conditions.

Requirements

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Experience with industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices.
• Experience recognizing and evaluating complex occupational health hazards.
• Experience developing plans for control measures, including ventilation, shielding, material substitution, change in work procedures, isolation, education, and personal protective devices.
• Experience with the use of industrial hygiene sampling techniques and instrumentation.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys of large, highly complex industrial work operations.
• Draft reports or portions of reports on industrial hygiene investigations.
• Brief management to provide status, updates, or other business information.
• Calibrate all field instruments used to conduct sampling within hazardous work environments.
