About The Position
Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Industrial Hygiene Scientist in the Los Angeles / Long Beach California area. As an Industrial Hygiene Scientist, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to identify, evaluate, and control potentially hazardous chemical, physical, and biological agents at client sites, including implementing sampling and analysis plans, conducting or supervising field activities, evaluating sample results and measurements and helping prepare written reports. You may also conduct or manage asbestos inspections, lead paint inspections, abatement oversight, monitoring, and related environmental projects. 2 - 4 years of directly applicable experience are required, along with a college degree in physical sciences, life sciences or engineering. Professional certification (CIH, CSP or equivalent) is preferred. California 'Certified Asbestos Consultant' (CAC) preferred for California applicants. This position may have hybrid working opportunities, but the candidate must reside within 100 miles of the reporting office.
